Safe roof cleaning methods
Our goal is and always will be to clean your roof without compromising the integrity of your roof. I have listed some methods we can use depending on the roof tiles and your goals.
Manual scrape and biocide soft washing – This method we aim to achieve the removal of 90% of the moss manually, using specialist roof scraping tools. We then apply a biocide which will kill the organic growth living on the tile surface. Once applied a self-cleaning process begins after the first rain, with full results expected between 6 and 12 months due to natural weather cycles aiding the self-cleaning process.
Low pressure steam cleaning – This method uses low pressure steam cleaning to clean the roof surface. This provides an instant result without the use of high pressure washing. If you are considering this method of cleaning, it is always a good idea to ensure you have felt installed in your roof loft and it is in good condition.
